I had always knew that Purems was a good place to buy Audi parts, but my latest experience with them has left a very bad taste in my mouth. So about a month ago I ordered a snub mount and fuel filter from them. I get the items and I go to install the fuel filter and it leaks gas all over the place when I start the car. I got new washers from the dealer and put it back on and it still was leaking pretty bad. So like 2 gallons of spilled gas later I just ended up putting my original filter back on and gave purems a call. I had to order a new filter which cost another 28 bucks, including over $10 shipping[:'(]. I get the new one and it is a completely different brand and it seems that it is a better fit for my car becuase there is little indents where the bolts go in so the washers can fit in there and seal better. The new one fit great and no leaking... I call them back and tell them what happened and now they want me to send the first filter back with my own money and all they are going to refund me is for the price of one filter... That is pretty poor considering what I had to go through, shipping twice send back one on my own cost not including all the GAS I lost and time spent trying to figure out why there filter didn't work.

I know they are a pretty big name in Audi parts around here so I doubt anyone will care, I just wanted to share my story and tell why I am so disappointed.

I would think that since it wasnt your fault, shipping should be free.

 

Yeah I know that everyone has had good experiences with them, thats why I am upset. Maybe I can try contacting them again about it.
