Default We got it easy.

Check out this list of rules at an RX-7 forum

ORIGINAL: Rx-7 Forum

1. This is not a flame war site, so please do not engage in such. No distinction will be made between the instigator and those who merely participate.

2. Personal attacks against other forum members will not be tolerated, nor will any type of "trolling" for a fight.

3. No racist, homophobic, or misogynistic remarks, including derogatory slang, be it overt or covert, will be tolerated.

4. Be respectful. This is harder to define, but will be moderated. If a moderator believes you are being purposefully disrespectful to a fellow member, you will be notified. Bashing for the sake of bashing will not be tolerated.

5. Don't make slanderous accusations. If you have a problem with another member or business, and cannot prove it absolutely, don’t bring in into the forum. It could be treated as grounds for a lawsuit if you do. Provide your proof in any such posts. Post with accusations but no proof will be deleted, and the poster will be notified. If your beef is over a purchase/sales experience, we have an area of the forum devoted to that, the "Good Guy/Bad Guy" forum.

6. No sexually explicit material, nudity, or graphic violence are to be posted. The rule of thumb is that if it's something you wouldn't see on network TV, don't post it. The forum strives to maintain a welcoming and family type atmosphere for its members. Any attempts, overt or covert, to undermine this goal will not be tolerated.

7. If you are posting a new thread, do not use vulgarity in the title of the thread. Inside a thread, profanity will only be allowed if used in a controlled manner, and not directed at a particular forum member. Again, just try and be respectful of other forum members.

8. Attacks on moderators will not be tolerated, and may result in an immediate permanent ban. Moderators sometimes have to make difficult judgment calls, but remember we *are* human (well at least most of us are!) Hopefully we'll make decisions that are considered "correct" by the majority of the community. Do not post complaints, criticisms, or moderation questions on the forum. These posts will be deleted and no explanation will be given. If you have a concern about a particular moderator, send a private message to a Super Moderator or Administrator. And if you have constructive suggestions on improvements that can be made to the forum or its moderation, please post them in the Suggestions area.

9. Attacks on new forum members (or "Noobies") will not be tolerated. Remember we were all new to the forum once.

10. Do not post a thread solely aimed at getting the attention of another forum member (i.e. posting ATTENTION FRED SMITH!) The forum provides a private messaging system for contacting individual forum members.

11. RX-7 Forum is not a general classified ad site; please do not post for sale ads for your used car (unless it's an RX-7), your apartment for sublease, or your used furniture, etc. These types of ads will be removed. For instance, in the Parts for Sale forum, the forum is ONLY for the sale of RX-7 and rotary powered vehicle parts, or things that could be used with the vehicle. In the RX-7s For Sale forum, the forum is ONLY for the sale of rotary engine powered vehicles. Additionally, posts soliciting for multi level marking schemes are not allowed.

12. Please include a descriptive subject for your thread. People shouldn't have to open the thread to find out what the topic is!

13. RX7Club forum has a very useful search feature. Many questions that new members might have will already have been answered - we recommend that you do a search first before posting a question.

Vendor Conduct
1. No free advertising will be allowed! If you’re a vendor, and you have a product you wish to promote to the RX-7 community, then purchase advertising on this site. We have MANY ways to allow you to promote your product. Contact Ryan Scott at advertising@rxtuner.com for more information.

2. Advertising includes starting Group Buys for products without getting prior consent from a Forum Admin. If you wish to organize a Group Buy, again contact Ryan Scott at advertising@rxtuner.com for more information.

3. These rules were put in place to preserve the financial status of this board. Hosting costs are VERY expensive. In order for us to continue providing it as a free service to users all over the world, we must generate some revenue. It's only fair that you, as a vendor, pay for promotion of your product.

Signatures and Avatars
1. Custom signatures are enabled, but any graphics used in such signatures are limited to a 20K file size.

2. Signatures are limited to six lines of regular text, including blank lines, or the equivalent size in picture, or picture/text combination.

3. There is currently no system to automatically check for signature size limits, so Admins and Moderators will be checking manually. Should your sig be found in violation, you will be asked to fix it; if you don't comply, it may be removed without warning. It is your responsibility to edit your sig and bring it within compliance.

4. Custom avatars are allowed, subject to a limit of a 6K file size and a 100x100 pixel image size. These limits are enforced automatically; the system will not allow you to upload an avatar image that exceeds them.

5. Signature and avatar content is subject to the same rules as forum posts. Moderators reserve the right to edit or remove any signature, avatar, or avatar caption as we deem necessary.

How We Handle Violations
Failure to comply with the above rules may result in disciplinary actions being taken against you, including a ban on your forum account. These actions are usually as follows, though the moderators may, at our discretion, skip steps as we deem necessary:

- For the first violation, a warning is sent via email or private message (PM) and the offending post is modified or deleted.

- For the second violation, a temporary ban of 1 week is given. After the 1 week ban, your posting status will be reinstated.

- Third violation and it’s 3 strikes you’re out. This results in a permanent ban.

- If you're banned, do not register with another ID -- we *will* find out eventually, ban you again, and we may take further action, including the possibility of contacting your ISP to report the violation. Violations could possibly constitute federal charges, so consider that before being naughty.

- The forum Administrators and Moderators retain the right to modify, edit, move, or delete any posts made on the forum by virtue of their position and in compliance with the aforementioned standards. Further, if you continually or repeatedly violate the rules of the forum, your account may be banned

This forum is about to adopt a rule list. Not quite as strict though.

HAHA. When I saw the thread title, and saw a quote from RX-7 club, I thought this thread was going to be about how much they have to deal with their cars blowing up.

3SI is about as relaxed as Supraforums.[8D]

Yeah i'm not fond of swearing in a public forum. I think we do need one, so people don't give me attitude for asking them to edit messages.
