I know I always obey traffic laws, but for others that want to know......How much over the speed limit can I go without getting a ticket???

My car was broken into just a few nights ago. 
Over what? A $450.00 valentine1 radar detector I had in the front window. Alarm was set, flashing blue led was flashing, the alarm went off. Time I could slip on shoes and get outside, they were no where to be seen, my window was smashed, and my radar gone.
