having played high school and played/ coached college hockey, and having spent most of that time as a goaltender, then as an offense coach, i do not like the new rules. all it has done is opened the ice up for cherry-pickers, and they are trying to slowly turn the league in the euro leagues...[:@]

 

I personally love the new format... with one exception... limiting the goalies. I think that if a goalie wants to play the puck they should be open to a hit. I've always thought this and the new rules haven't changed my opinion.

As far as the league turning into a euro league... I don't think that's going to happen. Proof is in the hit that Peca laid out the other night... damn good hit.

 

I played hockey since i was 5 till freshman year in high school. In High School we only had roller and i go used to being able to cherry pick (i have always been offense) i guess thats why i like the new rules. Its too bad my local ice rink closed down.

that sux, i use to play hockey ALL the time when i was younger. still play once a week in pick up games, its still fun to watch and even better to play
