Talking

I've got a stainless steel 6.5" barrel Taurus .44 revolver, a Taurus PT1911, a Benelli R1 .30-06 for a hunting rifle, and a Mossberg Maverick model 88 for a bird gun. Everybody made fun of me for buying the Taurus 1911, considering it was exactly the same price as the Springfield "basic" 1911. But so far, I've met 4 different people at the range (and in the field) that have highly modified Springfield and Kimber 1911s that aren't nearly as reliable as the Taurus is. I figured if the quality of the 1911 matched the quality of my .44 revolver, it'd be a pretty damn good deal. And boy was it a good deal. 4,000 rounds and counting, not one single problem/jam/misfire. I love it.

Why? Almost everywhere else single-actions are perfectly legal.

Yeah, saw that - already have a 9mm - wanting the .40 SW version - besides that 15 rd mag is a BIG no-no in CA. 10 is the limit here on any weapon - well semi-auto handguns and AW type rifles that is (the fun ones).

Because single action guns are simple. And kids can figure out how to use simple things. Then kids will all shoot themselves in the face.

O man, I see where your coming from. It's just another case of using law to substitute for poor parenting/irresponsiblity. I love the SAA and would eventually like to get a USFA Rodeo for myself.

Yeah. It's not just old school SAA guns that can be shipped to anyone, C&R guns can be shipped to anyone with a C&R FFL (03FFL)
