that blows man, what engine did it have?
Haha, I think the jetta's can be fairly feminine... but there are some awesome ones out there. the 2003 or 2004 GLI is amazing. Course, its priced close to an effin a4 I think, but it is a hot looking car. BBS 18's, sweet interior the 180hp 1.8T, and a 6 spd I believe. It owns.

The issue, is that he thinks he bought the car himself. Nobody gets 10+ grand in allowance and b-day money, by the time they are 16. You should be thanking your parents, they did pay for your car.
And yes, I think at 16, it makes sense to drive whatever car you can afford, even if its a 15 year old honda... then you work your *** off, save up, and earn a better car. It is healthy to have goals, that lead to accomplishment.

yea the jetta 1.8t's can get pretty fast. believe they have the k04 upgrade aswell and the same vendors as audi... theres a few heavy modded ones around my area that blow by mustangs when they hit 3/4th gear
Yeah, I bought my car myself minus the fact my mom gave me her old car, which I sold for $1800. Picked up my car at auction for about 10.5 grand (after tips to the guys who found it), and since last June, have dumped about 5 grand into it. But, I work like crazy, as much as 35 hrs a week with school and straight As, and I just recently quit my third job, so I'm down to just two.

you sold your mustang?
i wish my mommy and daddy had paid for any of my cars...the domestic that i drag race, i paid for it, but my dad is an old race mechanic, so he, of course, did most of the hard work...he has 40 years of exeprience over me, but i carry the checkbook with me at the track...however, my brother has bought me parts for my birthday...but as for my DD and my truck, i paid for them 100%....
The first car I drove was my parents, but I paid for my own insurance and gas. Then I sold my soul to the Air Force and Uncle Sam in 2000. Bought my first car for $400. 1987 Honda Accord LXi (yeah, I know it's a Honda, but it went from A to B which was the bottom line). As soon as I got my signing bonus, I bought a 90 Pathfinder, which I still have for when the snow gets too deep for my A4. When I got promoted, I got my 00 A4.
