Im 90% the x type is the awd one. Wouldn't think that would be the contour. They usually start needing suspension items over 20k miles ... worse then a b5! haha

Maybe that was the S-type, not sure. Eh, who cares - still a Ford.

The s type is normally a 4.0 v8 I think. idk now im starting to be a know it all... sorry haha. The v8 floods too easy at the most random times pos! Isn't there another jag? or is the s type just available in different engines?

S-type had a V6 variant I'm pretty sure, as well as any V8 offerng. In that price class, they weren't going to go strictly with a V8.

What does that mean? The X-Type is better than the S-Type?

Okay, I Googled it. The X-Type and the Contour share a platform. Makes the X-Type even less appealing...not that it ever was to me, but it's not really fair to think of them as Ford Contours. It's like the B5 platform...ask a VW owner, and they'll tell you their Passat is the same as an A4. A4 owners that have ever driven a Passat will disagree.

So S-Type is better than X-Type?
