Would you still buy it
I was wondering if your audi wasnt branded an audi
would u still buy it, the exterior, interior, engine and everything was the same, the quality and everything
the price was the same, nothing changed at but one thing
the car had a KIA or some low end company name on it, would u still buy the car

hell yea i'd still buy it... i think most people on the forums will agree with me here, if you want a status symbol, a mercedes or bmw are the cars to go with...if you want a 'drivers' car, audi is the way to go.
I'd never been interested in Audi before.....so the brand didn't carry much apeal to me. For me, brand or reputation might get me to look at a car, but it won't get me to buy one.
Yeah, b/c teh make/model I bought was almost the same (S8 v. A8 - what I cud afford), down to teh model year, that usedta regurarly outrun my Turbo Calibra, back in Germany, back in teh day. Aside from teh cars that said Turbo AND Porsche, nothing else cud outrun meN my Beautiful Black Calibra!!!
I duno.. I guess it seems like Im in the minority here.. I guess, I defenitely wouldnt be buying the car
because of the price thing. I couldnt justify paying 19+k on a 2000 kia or daewoo etc. Not to badmouth those cars,
but I just dont put performance & luxury in the same category as those cars. And Audi has a long lineage / history
and reputation for building those types of cars.
Plus - this was my first indulgence / toy. I couldve spent my $ on an expedition, or a car that was practical,
or had better mileage like a Honda [:@] . I had just gotten a promotion, and finally said to myself,
Im tired of working my a$$ off
and not having anything of mine to enjoy for myself. I've always wanted a worthy "project car" & one strong reason I had to go
w/ Audi was that it was different from everything else - they are very rare especially out this way. I guess it was the whole package
that led me to buy the car - the name, the performance, the styling. But if you were to put a saturn badge on it -
I probably wouldve been looking elsewhere for a new "toy"...

But everything being equal, a Kia/Daewoo that had the same quality, price, spec, reliability, etc as an audi would be just as worthy a car as an audi. There would be no difference. As such, if an audi was worth x amount, so would the Kia... Badge snobbery is your driving force, not the quality of the car.
I would still buy mine. I didn't buy it because it's an Audi. I have never seen a sedan that looks as agressive as mine. The flared wheel wells and the stance is perfect. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm pissed that I ever thouht about getting rid of it. A little check engine light turned out to be nothing!
