Default WTF...ebay sellers using my photos

Can ebay sellers use someone else's photos for their ads? I was just cruising Ebay and saw a pic of my car that I took couple of years ago. I've never bought anything from these sellers

No they can't - not without permission. Contact them and tell them that they have 24 hrs to change the pics or you'll contact eBay and have their auctions removed.

LOL!

That's funny Joe. I like how they put watermarks on the pictures which basically says it's 'theirs'.

I agree with ImTheDevil, if you don't want the pictures there, you should contact them and let them know.

you could also tell them that if they paid you money that you'd let them use it. see if you can't make yourself an easy buck or 2 lol

How did they get those pix on the first place? One of the guys http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...n%3D3%26ps%3D5 was where a member from canada from this thread: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=136348
got his rear lip. So now you see, your car actually helped this ebay seller make a few bucks, and it also helped a member from these forums make his car look better. I would get some cash out of the ebay dude, as long as you can prove that the pix are yours.

I posted the pics on here and audizine couple of years ago when I first got the lip spoiler and tint. I got the spoiler from an ebay seller who lives in Walnut, Ca. They probably save the pics that I posted either on here or AZ

Oh I can prove the pics are mine..I have more pics from that church parking lot with different angles that I didn't post

Here's the original of one of the pics

Oh you can get money.. if you want to actually sue and go through that seeing as how they are in a different country. I'd just send them an e-mail telling them to cease, cc it to e-bay, then post remarks that those are NOT thier products in the pics.

I can back up the fact that it's his car as I've seen it in person many times.

lmao @ Randy..yeah, that's my crouching tiger, hidden dragon picture taking pose.

The seller being in another country, I'm not gonna waste my time and maybe some $$ to sue them. I've already sent the sellers emails and reported them to Ebay.

That sucks bro, I'd try to work it out with him first before suing, go flex in front of him a few times get a few bucks, if it don't work then get suing... But if you're a good samaritan, just ask them to take your pictures down.
