How difficult is it in a 17 r8 plus"?

Probably worth putting up here in case people encounter the same problem themselves. Better for people to search the forum then have to ask the same question again!

 

I'm pretty sure it will take almost 2 hours. The new battery will need to be coded to the other modules as well since this vehicle has a battery management system. If the battery is not coded correctly you may have issues with some of the systems on the vehicle.

--EDIT, Sorry but just recently found out while helping install a new battery for a friend on his 2014 R8 the vehicle was not equipped with battery management. Maybe newer than 2014 does... I'm not 100% sure now. Most Audi's have the battery management after model year 2009. R8 has been kept fairly basic with one thing in mind. Racing!
