i went a little overboard on the last thread. i guess you guys(Audi forums) have the same problems we have(supraforums) ,people who do not have this rare machine sign on to give their two cents worth but don't realize it's a waste of time to the members who need help(cuz the dealers know very little about this model). but i assure you this is a ligit problem and i will look into the "lemon law"!

Both of you settle down!

Only thing I can think of is MAF, O2 sensors, and vacuum hoses.

Jestnomen- tnx for the reply. i need to ask the dealer if they are hooking the car up to a VAG fault reader instead of a OBD reader. i'll follow up on Wed.

David- just having fun! i appreciate 99a4audi reply and thanked him for it. BTW- do you have an idea what may cause the "check engine"?

yeah, i'm just pissed the SOX won! heh heh, they deserved (sox) it, come back from 3-0. And you're from Mass, i sell shrimp, so a lot of my clients in Boston are being "poor sports". not that i can blame them, it's kinda like not getting laid for 86 years.

but i still need this stupid check engine light off. if not "lemon law"!

Kaymax, a obd reader and a Vag are basically one in the same.

all dealers have the OBD reader and can detect errors but....
