At my dealer we had a rs6 come in for its 5k service, i went for a 5 sec ride in it. You know you are in a beast when it snaps all four tires loose just from droping the hammer at a stand still with an auto. YEAH HAAAA

For the money you pay for them they are sooooooooooooooooooooooo slow. A kid came on here and said he ran like a 13.5? That seem really slow to me.Oh and why no manaul tranny?

I heard Audi didn't think that the average person would know how to drive with that much horsepower.

Even though it is a RS6, audi still made it a understeer befor oversteer car, and the steering feals almost diconected from the car. but if you chip it and a cat back, you are Fraging flying.

Got to say there is some stuff floating around this forum that is incorrect around the rs/6. Only auto transmission and it is one of the reasons I didnt buy a m5. Don't want to be shifting all the time, on the phone etc... Other reason I didn't buy M5 is the local bmw dealer. Car is 450hp, 415 lbs torque with oversteer not understeer. Took it to the track. If 13.5 is slow in the quarter mile for a luxury sedan you need some help. Handling is superior, car is so responsive.

Hey guys. M3 owner here but thinking of getting the 2003 RS6 that the local Audi has on display. 24k miles for $49k is not that bad. How is the average mpg? I read that is very low, some say its 10 MPG. Is that true ?

From way back in the post - the RS6 only has the tip/manual because at the time of development Audi didn't have a manual tranny that could handle the power/torque the RS6 puts out.
