I wouldn't go that far!! I'm sure he could win, but I know it would be close. About 2-3 years back I raced him and I won in my 70 boss 429 Mustang, but I know it was because I got a jump on him in the start. I realize it's a totally different car, but it made me realize that beating him is more than possible!! There is a glimmer of hope!

 

i beat an e46 m3 with my b5 s4 that had a crap chip and a filter, downgeared to fifth and that was all she wrote, from about 80mph. too bad a couple days later my turbo bearings went bad,waiting for warranty now though, wont be too long see yah

Do you mean you rolled from 80 and beat the e46???

 

my friend has a turbo E36 M3 and its in viper territory [sp] he ran a 10.82 on low boost (7psi) he has the timeslip to prove it. his high boost is 12 psi but has no traction to use it.

yup imola killed that e46, i have a question though ,my turbos started making a whistling sound the next day and i also hesitate between 3500-4000 rpms . this was about 2 months ago. now it still whistles and i am getting slower and slower, my friend has a stock b5 s4 and he beat me ! remember i am chipped.

Chip it and new turbos and intercooler, that should put the M3 to sleep

 

First of all, there was no M3 made in the US in 2000, so you must be talking about the 2001 e46 M3. The car is rated at 333 bhp and runs 0-60 in approx 4.7 seconds. Stock 1/4 is about 13.0

I'm here to learn about S4's so I cannot comment on what you would need to do to go that fast, but that is what you are up against.
