Is there a Oil Cooler for the 01E Transmission?

Does the 01E Transmission require a TCM?

I heard 3 mechanics saying different things. I don't know who to believe..

Help?

 

The factory oil cooler consists of a pump driven by the diff, and fluid is pumped through the radiator. Installing this however requires lots of money or a new transmission as the trans has to be taken apart and the pinion needs to be reset. Another option is to get an electric diff oil pump and run lines to an Auto trans radiator.

These guys offer the oil pump as an option on their rebuilt transmissions.
