19 Inch Performance?
hello everyone.. i already posted a rim thread , but im still having problems selecting them...
lately i have been seeing alot of audi s4 B5's with 19 inch..
i did some research at home and alot of the rims that i found ... that wouldn't fit my car in 18 inch... will fit in 19inch...
soo my question now is that.. will 19inch rims reduce the performance of a audi s4...
will they change in the 0-60...
all you 19inch owners out there... how fast are our s4's... still killing alot of cars out there in the streets... or just for looks.

I run 19s in the summer. Used to be OZ su-garas - but dinged way too easy. They were super light & fast. Now I'm on RS4 replicas - they have held up better (though not perfect) - but are way heavier and I do notice it. I don't really race to say I'm losing .2 sec or what have you...but I sill do easily stomp most folks...and used to take EVOs & STis etc at stage II with them on...
I'd be concerned with weight..... larger, heavier wheels will definitely affect performance. You will feel it in you acceleration, braking and handling.
Personally I'd go no larger than 18" on the B5 S4, I see no need for it. Even 18" I'd be sure to get lightweight wheels to get some performance out of the upgrade.

Agreed, no larger than 18". It doesn't seem to fit the profile as good on B5's unless you have a really nice pattern that compliments the car. Like Roadhawks looks good, but still, I wouldn't do it because of performance... Roadhawk can manage to pull it off since he has a Stage 3, though.... [:@]
I have a 2002 s4 with 19 HRE's and g teched it at 13.89 at 106 mph. temp was 56 degrees, and 1 percent downhill grade. no wind.

well bigger wheels depending on which wheels you go with..
but like volks you have a hugh wieght reduction you are allowed to put wider tires for traction and are now able to handle alot better on the road
