2000 S4 Axle
Just a question of curiosity, but how difficult would it be to replace the passenger side axle (CV) on my 2000 Audi S4? ive replaced CV's before on other cars and its fairly easy, its just a decent amount of work and this auto place i took the car too wants 450 bucks to do it. what are your guy's thoughts?

well thanks a lot for the response. i talked it over with a buddy of mine and i think i am going to do it, cause 450 bones sounds ridiculous for something i can do with a little elbow grease and some man hours.
Thats how all the things are on these cars. I am pulling the engine in mine myself because I don't want to shell out $1500-$3000 to have it done. I don't mind it either. Just takes time but once your done you are proud of yourself (as long as it runs right when your done. LOL)

would a busted axle really cause the car to shimmy from side to side in the front while accelerating through? dude said thats what was causing the car to jerk but like ive been in cars with shitty cv's and that didnt happen, it just made this "clunk clunk clunk" noise if you turned the wheel.
Pulling the axles are easy...
Give car quest a call, they will get you an axle for about $80, tell them you need a set of triple squares and you'll be set. Took me about 20 mins to do and cost was around $100.
