Default 2000 s4 SLUGGISH NEED HELP!!!

hi everyone,

I have a 2000 audi s4 tip completely stockwith 74k miles on it. I was messing around today with the 0-60 times and i was reading around and understand its supposed to be around 6.0

I was driving it from stand still 0-60 and was getting times with my stop watch like around 7.0- 7.5

Sometimes when i floored the car when it shifted from 1st- 2nd it would feel like the tranny was slipping and other times it didnt. I know this car is fast and i would love to running the correct 0-60 time.

Can anyone help me???

I'm sorry to say, lilnick, the times you're getting are typical for a tip. I would say get a chip and you'll see much better times.

if it feels like its slipping, it is most likely a boost leak, do a check....

stopwatch will never be accurate, since the speedo is not usually accurate during accel.

if you really do think its the tranny slippy, get that fixed quick, or you will need a total rebuild instead of just a valvebody or TC.

Once maintence is up to date, chip that bad boy....

plus with our cars having 6-8 yrs on them, you can expect the car to decrease .1-.2 of a sec slower.
