Default 2000 S4 without ESP

Hi, I'm looking at a 2000 S4 that doesn't have the electronic stability program. I don't know a lot about them but would guess it's an early model. I was wondering if that was a big deal or not. Everything else looks good. I don't want to pass it up, but I don't want to be sorry either. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark

2001.5 and 2002 have the traction control. Personally, I hate it. I learned to drive in the snow with no traction control and can drive really well in it. With the esp, I have to fight against it, if I forget to turn it off, to keep the caar where I want it.

So does that mean it just has anti lock brakes, no traction control?

Right, you have abs, just not traction control. I would take the fuse out of my esp if I didn't have to look at that damn light all the time.
