I was just on their site. It says they no longer offer rebuilding. Or is that why You said (ask verrry nicely). I`m sure there are lots of companys that will rebuild them for ya.

HP Addict,

Wow! Thanks for the great explanation. To be honest I'm not sure what stage my car is. Is there a link that will have further details of what makes up the different stages? I will reply on Monday with a list of modifications that I received from the previous owner. He originally told me that the car had about 480HP. Not too sure if that's at the wheels or not. When I purchased it I could easily keep up with a 2003 Z06, not sure if that helps with the estimates.

Deb38, I've contacted them and I am eagerly awaiting a reply

Do I need to replace the pipes when I replace the turbos?

Thanks again!

no you dont.(for the pipes)
sounds like to me, that you have a full stg 3 car, that means fueling and all supporting mods. This is what I would like jsut about everyone is saying, rebuild the turbos both at the same time. cause it is a PITA to pull them off so jsut do it once. Plus you will have 2 new turbos. you are looking at about 1 grand for the rebuild on the high end I say. If you DIY for the turbo pull and everything else, not a bad deal. and you will be killing the z06 again very soon.

Now its starting to sound like you have a full stage 3. I said ask nicely because from what iv heard (no personal experience) Blouch will do them one week, and not the next. Its all how he feels at the moment. I reccomended him because hes known within the b5 s4 community and had a pretty good reputation (rebuilt turbos being more relyable than OEM k04's lol). But yes anywhere that will rebuild KKK turbos can spiff up your K04's.

So back again to the hybrids. IF your are stage 3 and IF you want a little more power maybe you want to ask about getting them built with new compressor wheels. Otherwise just get em rebuilt normally

Ok, here's the list of modifications that I received from the previous owner.
  • K04 Turbos
  • Rs4 Hoses
  • RS4 Intercoolers
  • RS4 Injectors
  • RS4 Fuel Pump
  • RS4 Piping
  • MTM Full Exhaust
  • MTM Y Pipe
  • MTM Bypass Valve

Other mods - non-performance
  • Bilstein Adjustable Coilovers
  • Eiback MTM Springs
  • Neuspeed Rear Sway bar
  • APR Transmission Mount
  • Stasis Engineering Rotors
  • Stasis Rotors - Rear
  • Alcon 6 Piston Front Calipers
  • Custom Performance Front Links
  • K&N Air filter
  • OZ 18" Racing Wheels
  • Built-in front and rear radar detector

With this list are you able to tell me what stage my car is? I'm going to ask Blouch if they will boar and use a larger wheel in my turbos. Do you think I would see a nice boost in performance with this?

wow, yeah you will see really nice gains just get a new tune with the bigger wheels. I would also get some bigger injectors at the same time so fueling is not your hold up. cause you are really going to be maxing the rs4 injectors.

Just ask Blouch for 997 wheels or x50 wheels. You will be happy. It is going to cost you around 2k for that setup though. I'd also look into getting a retune with those new turbos, as you are going to want to step up to some 60# injectors to really take advantage of the bigger gear.
