2001 S4 Manual or Tip?
I still say go with manual. Sure traffic sucks, but its not bad if you actually know how to drive manual. Im kind of a special case cuz after an hour or so of traffic my knee gets sore since i had surgery on it not too long ago since i tore my ACL, but its not as bad as some make it out to be.
oh you got to be kidding me... when are you leaving for this road trip... just snap like 3 pics and quick throw em up.. 5 minutes.....damn you!!!!!!!
I need pics to contemplate my wheel future

But I disagree with what you're saying. I often see it said that if you know how to drive manual traffic is not so bad. I don't get this. This has nothing to do with knowing how to drive a manual. Your muscles are muscles, they get tired regardless of how well you know how to use them. The poster on the first page said he gets tired of having to switch between throttle and brakes on an automatic. Uhm, and how is a manual better? On a manual you have to switch between throttle and clutch (two legs instead of just one), plus use your right wrist and arm. What an absurd argument.
Common, let's be real honest here. Sitting in an hour and a half of traffic sucks period, and having an automatic makes it suck significantly less. If you're a diehard stick driver, fine, go for it. I am not bashing manuals.
I am just calling for some intillectual honesty for once on this issue. I am tired of people exaggerating how its not an issue at all if you just "know how to drive stick". That just doesn't make any difference to your body. That's like saying you won't get Tennis elbow if you are a good tennis player. Whatever.
I'll also add that there are a lot of bonuses to driving a Tip. With the increasing number of gadgets in these cars, they are easier to enjoy with a free hand. If you have kids, you definitely want a Tip, you need that extra hand free in an emmergency. The benefits to Tip are numerous and they are often overlooked.
