2001 S4 w/ 43k
New to the forums!
I currently own a WRX and I'm looking for something with a little more luxury and finish. The S4 fits the bill. I found a silver 2001 S4 with 43k miles at a dealership nearby. They are asking $24,995. I would obviously love to get them down a bit more on the asking price, but I would like a little feedback on what others have paid for with similar mileage. The car has a few door dings, a scratch on the driver's side that's chipping the paint, and a few wear and tear items. Nothing that would keep me from buying the car, aside from a mechanical failure that would show up during a test drive. Is $24,995 fair and how low do you think I can go from the asking price.
Thanks!

Using Edmunds and KBB as a guide, the car is worth more around $22-23k. I'm going to try and talk them down a bit. I know the car has been sitting the lot for quite some time now. For some reason, its not moving. Probably because its priced too high and people get scared off. I'm taking it for a test drive tonight and we'll see what happens.

Wow, you found one that was hardly driven. I got them down to 23k. They won't budge any more than that. I'm closing the deal today. Hopefully I can pick up the car sometime tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait!

RE: 2001 S4 w/ 43k
I just purchased my 2000 s4 for $22,000 canadian, and it has approx 60 miles. That would propably work out to around 18k us. It's an awesome car though and so far I'm really happy with it. Came with 19" oz also. I'll have to post a pic soon. Hope the info helps.
