2002 S6 ELECTRICAL DRAIN! PLEASE HELP!!!
Hey Guys,
I have a 2002 S6 Avant w/ 87k miles, excellent condition, but has a perpetual problem w/ power drain... I have installed 3 new batteries, so thats not it. From there we have basically check EVERYTHING to see if there are any shorts in the system. I call our local Audi dealer to check for service bullitins, etc., none came up, but suggested it make be the brake light switch. Tried that and was not the gremlin.
ANY ideas or help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Start pulling fuses at night, one each night. let the car sit untill morning. monitor the baterry condition with a multi meter, replacing the fuse the next day and moving on to the next circuit. Keep doing this until you find the circuit that is causing the drain, and then go from there.
If that doesnt work, try disconnecting the alternator from the system and see if that makes a difference. Good luck, I dont envy you...
