Guys,

I've just registered as a new member and i've always been a Mercedes fan, however, as you already know the quality is CRAP and they just break. A good friend of mine has an S3 here in the UK and i had it for 3 days and it has been possibly the best car i have got in. The build quality is far superior to Mercedes and i have decided to move over to the S4 (2004). Could you guys please help me and let me know what sort of problems these cars have, is it better to go manual than auto, does anything break that i need to pay special attention to and any other problems which i should keep and eye out for. All your help is appreciated.

 

I'd keep an eye out for dead hookers in the trunk, and tend to steer away from that one.

 

check build date.. early 04's had some problems with the engines leaking mysteriously and seizing the engine... but that may have just been on this side of the pond.
