Default 2005 s4 head unit question

I recently bought an 05 s4. Its my first audi so I'm still trying to get up to speed with the mods and such. I love the car but want to install a new navi head unit. 1st, can I just swap the head unit if the car came with the bose system? 2nd, where can I get the panel mod to make it fit?

Also, I am planning to upgrade to the motodyne chip. Any concerns?

my sister has an 04 with an eclipse in dash screen head unit it looks great. There are a lot of different mounts that are flush with the B6 interior.

I got a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 and love it. It has a mount that makes it fit great. Just beware that you'll probably want to replace all the speakers too. Bose stuff doesn't sound good with non-Bose stuff.

Oh, and I've heard nothing but bad things about Motodyne so do a little research before you go with them.

You could always get the audi RNS-E navigation, it's the one that comes stock in the RS4. There's always a few used ones on ebay near 1000ish

Would any year or model RNS-e work. There are some listed for particular cars like a TT or a3? Is there a specific one for b6 s4

I'm not sure, but I'd probably try to get one that says it's for a4, s4, or rs4
