2008 S4 vs. RS4 - Which one?
I am considering both as a daily driver in the Boston, MA area - so snow/salt/sand will be seen and i will add snow tires to either.
What are the pro's / con's to each. This will be my first Audi! I am coming off of a 2011 X6 5.0 and a 2011 T-reg (bought back as a lot of problems). I never had an audi but plenty of BMW's, a 911 and other stuff.
I found a 2008 cpo and all the RS4's are not and i have a 5 year old.
Thoughts?

ahhh to have such problems.....
anyway, the S4 is the "performance upgrade" from the A4. The RS4 is the "track ready" version of the A4. keep in mind that those are relative terms and neither is very descriptive. I would suggest you get whichever one has the lower mileage/better warranty. I think you will find that Quattro is more than capable of getting you through the Boston winter.
You will find the Audi experience is very similar to what you have had with your other vehicles. Nice performance, very well appointed, smooth and stable ride, outrageous repair and maintenance cost....
good luck
