I have a 2000 S4. The break pedal pulses (about twice a second) when (hard/medium) breaking. Its starts below 40Km/hr or 25miles/Hr. There is no ABS light warning. And NO its not rust on the disc !

I think its probably a fault sensor. I would like to know if anyone had to debug a similar problem. I will be checking for a DTC code shortly.

I have the same problem. I believe I damaged the sensor when replacing CV joints boots. The Sensor may touched the CV joints wheel surface. The error message is something: "sensor circuit short or open..."
