When I started, I got a Kenwood dbl din dvd and a sub and amp. All was able to be hooked up via "bose adapter" at CarToys in CO. Everything worked fine til i blew a couple of speakers. At that point there's no reason not to get all new speakers, and an amp for them, which i rewired for the hell of it because now everything is running the same impedence (Ohm load) and sounds AMAZING. I wonder, despite the wiring adapters, if the Ohm difference is the reason so many bose speakers blow after aftermarket head units are installed. Either way i'm glad they blew cuz my Focals (though a little pricey) were worth every penny!
