Default airbag question

Just wondering if anyone has experience in replacing airbags in the S4/A4. I just replaced dash bag and steering wheel bag on my s4. There wasn't any apparent damage to the body to justify airbags going off. My question is; is there any sensor that needs to be replaced, connector cleaned, reset light to prevent these from blowing for no apparent reasontoo? Thanks for your time.

Check with a VAGCOM or other scan tool and make sure there are no SRS/Airbag codes in the system and clear them. I doubt that even with codes that the bags would deploy again.

Usually when the airbags deploy, the SRS module need to be replaced, its kind of like a "black box" that stores crash data. If so, i believe its on top of the transmission tunnel under the dash close to the firewall...
