Alignment Spec

Alignment Spec
I am needing an alignment for my 2000 S4 and I have been reading up about the best places to take it. I am understanding that the alignment isn't your typical repair shop and it require special equipment that most likely audi/vw places have. There is no Audi service center but there is a VW place. I called them up and they told me they would look at it but they wouldn't recommend it because they don't have the specs.
Does anybody have the alignment specs for an 2000 S4?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Alignment Spec
I'm taking my car in for an alignment as well and am thinking about custom specs for aggressive street driving. But couldn't find anything in the search.
Can anyone make any recommendations?

RE: Alignment Spec
Hmmm interesting dont know about this topic too much, but when i needed my alignment i just went to the tire shop and had it done when i got my new tires put on.... and then again when i got the coilovers done.
So idk whats so "special" about it.

RE: Alignment Spec
umm, from what I understand there are very few alignment shops that can do our cars [correctly](and other Audi's with the quattro system for that matter)... I was turned down several times bya fewof the large chains (PepBoys, Firestone, Tire Kingdom, etc.), and advised that only the Dealership can do it.
Hope they did yours right TKneedsS4...

RE: Alignment Spec
I'm not looking for the stock specs per se (unless the consensus is that those stock specs are agressive enough). I'm looking more for custom specs that people use for aggressive street driving / light track use. Something to help the car turn in more easily. I'm guessing a little toe out and some camber. Anyone got numbers they are happy with?

RE: Alignment Spec
Yea....^^^ giviing the wheel bearing problems that are already very weak on our cars and how sloppy the factory suspension is (compared to coilovers) I dunno how i feel about you messing with the factory equipment when it comes to camber angles and ride hieght and such..... And it is still the same spring rate, so you could only change soo much. Just suck it up and get a nice set of coilovers so you can do whatever u want. as for the camber angle? i think the coilovers will make it aggressive enough for you.

RE: Alignment Spec
Specs don't mean much. If you have changed the suspension, or added bigger tires, the specs change. Anyone with a good alignment rack, will have the stock settings in the computer.
If you want a "track" or "aggressive street" alignment done, find a speed shop, what I mean is a shop that preps race cars. You tell them how you want the car to drive, & they set it up. It will be more then the muffler shop doing a alignment, or Firestone, but the car will done right!!!
My car is set for 0 toe R/F, around 1.2 camber F/R as much caster he could dial in.
