Default APR chip

I'm looking to get the APR chip maybe tomorrow.

I'm looking at getting the valet, stock, 91, and 93 octane programs.

Is there anything I need to get in addition to the chip so that my car runs reliabily?

Default samco ttb vs apr bi-valve kit?

So I need diverter valve and throttle body boot? Anything else?

What are the pros and cons of the Samco ttb and the APR bi-valve kit?

Funny that you men tion that. I recently had a KO4 ug done plus some other related stuff - including Autospeed Phenonlic spacers for the manifold and a full SAMC hose replace - with TBB...wellll - the SAMCO TBB has already popped off once in a big way. My mechanic (and Autospeed) are recommending the APR bi-pipe. I was reluctant before becaue of the added cost and my thinking that the SAMCO was sufficient. However my mechanic tell sme that things are very tight in there with no room for error and the SAMCO cannot flex sufficiently for a good fitment with my manifold raised as it is. Don't know if you will have the same problem without the spacers - but something you should be aware of. For the meantime we've reattached the SAMCO TBB - but my mechanic assures me that it will fail again and says the SPR bi-pipe will allow the flex in the lower hoses to accomodate the extra height...(so I am looking to add the bi-pipe in the near future...)

Roadhawk - you're running more boost/hp than I'm intending to, right? The 93 octane chip is the only thing I *plan* on doing as far as hp/boost mods. Do you think the Samco boost is reliable for that?

If it's going to potentially cause me problems I'd rather just spend the extra money and do it right from the beginning. But I also don't wan to spend money where I don't have to.

I've heard of others complaining of difficulty sealing it/properly clamping it down - but this was not the case with me. It seems to be sealed very well now...but with extreme car motion - and the spacers raising it up (caused my mech to complain right away...) there is no flex in it - so it pulled loose. Lots of folks use the Samco hoses with no issues (as i had hoped to...and we'll see - I'm thinking I'll give it one more chance...though my mech thinks its a matter of when and not if...)

How often do you valet your car?

I know AWE also offers a 100+ octane option, and the dyno's pull better numbers from what I've seen.

Maybe it's because you're running more hp and spacers? Right now I'm leaning towards getting the Samco boot since I won't be modding it past the apr chip. Or what's even the likely hood of tearing the stock throttle body boot with just the apr chip? Do I even need to get it?

Would you suggest that I get the 100 octane program? How often would I run into 100+ octane fuel, other than the track?

I thought the valet option would be nice since I don't normally like to valet my cars because I worry that my car will be abused. I guess this is one less deterant. And I figure it might be useful when I take my car in to get tires, etc.

What programs do most people get?
