does anyone no if a 2000 audi s4 needs a chip sodered in or can it be direct ported and the programs just installed ?

 

The APR program is now a software down load. I had my '00 S4 done with the 93 octane program. It took about 30 minutes.

 

It doesn't need to be solderd in. It's just that a few years ago it was the only option with some chip companies. Now pretty much any ecu software is flashed onto the ecu. I've seen it done with the Revo software. It's a pretty quick process. It's just like installing new software onto your home pc.
