Question Audi S4 CEL Light Code 16622

So the car im looking at buying has a CEL and its code 16622. Manifold/boost sensor. He says its boost full, no back firing or anything. The car was involved in a front end accident and repaired since. Could it be a bad sensor, or one that just is not hooked up?

it could easily just be a loose or bad sensor. i would suggest taking it to a mechanic or have one come with you to check out the car before purchase. these cars are very temperamental. how bad was the front end collision? what was damaged and repaired? is it stock?

I'm a mechanic by trade, but new to Audi. It was hit on the drivers side front, it was just hood and front fender. It has been checked out by 3 Audi Mechanic's and he has the report from it. Its all stock, just lowered on H&R Springs. 78,000 miles.

if its been checked out and he has the reports it sounds like a good deal. nice mileage too. there are like a million sensors on these cars so they tend to go out like every other week. if all the audi mechanics gave it a clean bill of health then it probably is just a faulty sensor.

you might want to buy a new sensor and install it before you purchase the car just to make sure. there is a bottomless pit of horror stories when it comes to things going insanely wrong with these cars. Good luck! your mechanic skills will definitely be put to the test with this bad boy.
