Hi,

I am about to buy an Audi S8 year 1997-2003 and I wanted to know whether anyone has any experience regarding the two types of transmission.

I would naturally think the 6 speed Manual to be superior for driving and performance but yet almost all cars are equipped with the tiptronic.

I am mainly interested in performance and don't really care that the Automatic is more easy going/relaxed.

What do you guys think?

 

If you live state side theres no manual option so if you want the S8 you get the 5 speed auto. Your choice may have gotten alot easier haha
