Default 08 s4 upgrades

I recently bought a new 08 S4 and now that I have roughly 6,000 miles on it I would like to begin adding some hp/torque via basic modifications.

Three Questions:
1.) What can I expect from an AWE Exhaust, GIAC ECU, and possibly an intake upgrade?

2.) Are these upgrades going to yield roughly 40hp as claimed? (for $2800 I sure as hell hope so).

3.) Any other mods anyone can recommend?

Thanks to all and I apologize in advance for the newbie post....Just figured I'd get an expert opinion.

Catback, GIAC, and an intake will add power throughout all rpm's and sharpen throttle response. The sound will be great, checkout www.youtube.com for videos. Downpipes will only enhance the experience. As for +40 HP that might be pushing it but there is a difference and i would spend the money. Get a custom racegas tune if you want more power...

Short shifter and a valentine 1 are always good purchases. A rear swaybar will help with handling. Coilovers are great for looks and handling. The b6/b7 dosnt have much for affordadable power-adding upgrades. Supercharger kits are only now becoming more common and will range from $10,000-30,000 depending on the kit.

Lighter wheels and rotors will reduce unsprung weight and make the car feel and accelerate a little faster. All the little things add up...

For the record, I just got the 08 S4 and added Millitek cat back thus far only (based in part on advice from this post). Slight throttle response improvement perhaps, no real noticeable difference in power. The sound however,is amazing. I haven't played the radio for weeks because it is so sick sounding in the cabin. DP's are the next move (thanks HP addict) - next week maybe, sway bar and chip/tuning thereafter. I will keep you updated on progress.
such a fantastic car.
