I am learning about Audi and will soon be a newly proud owner of one! Can someone please tell me what B5, B6, etc means? (Or is there a page in this forum that explains it?) Is it something with modifications... or is it a style of the s4. This might be helpful for me asI continue my s4 search!!! Thanks in advance!

 

Just know this.

B5 has a 2.7 liter twin-turbo V6 (2000-2002)

B6/B7 have a 4.2 liter V8 (2004+)

The B6/B7s are slightly larger will likely be more reliable.

My advice buy a B5, way more mods.

Thanks for the advice! Im not sure that I plan to make any mods to this car. If I do, they will be minor.
