Default B6 S4: APR Exhaust?

New guy with a question...

I did a search and it seems that everyone says go Milltek or Labree. What about APR? They seem pretty popular with the B5 crowd, but not with the V8's. Are they too loud? Too expensive? Or just not getting the exposure?

I am looking to get an exhause for my B6 also. I have looked at the Milltek, Labree, APR and AWE's exhausts. I really like the APR and AWE"s exhaust. Keep in mind this is only from viewing them on the internet and listening to sound clips.

Exhaust people pleast chime in for a few Newbies!

I have an 05 S4 and put and APR exhaust on. 3Zero3 did the work and I am very happy. Ask for Trever.

o.k just to let you know, not everyone lives in Colorado. Anyways, can you tell me a little about your exhaust: res or non-res, dp's or stock, $$$ w/out installation, and what does it sound like (i.e description or sound clip). Thanks in advance.

OK, so I went out on a limb and went with an APR full exhaust and ECU flash. The 10% off Waterfest sale and having a local distributor sealed the deal for me.

Fit and finish is excellent, wtih the whole thing appearing to have been polished.

The sound is interesting - almost unchanged at idle, quickly turning to a deep growl by 3000 RPM. Not too loud at cruising speeds and no highway drone. Sound in the cabin with the windows up is is a deep chugging sound. Outside the car it onoy gets loud when the revs rise, with a nice bark. As the tech said "it's an Audi with power by Mopar" [8D]

Performance wise the car feels quicker, with better throttle response and more high end power according to the butt dyno.

What you say full exhaust, what do you mean? Is it a full resonated exhaust with down pipes? Can you explain.

The exhaust looks great!

Downpipes and cat back section, with mid muffler / resonator.

Very informative! Thank you very much. If you have anything else to add, by all means do it. If you have a sound clip, post it.
