blow off valve
From what I've ever understood about this is that you have to run a blow off valve before your MAF. Obviously in my S4 I got the 007's, but on my eclipse, I had to run a different MAF setup for it to function properly.
but cant u run a bov if it recirculates the air? like an hks ssq i thought the rule was u need to recirculate the air

The only problem that I see with the BOV's that DO recirculate the air is that it can't recirc. everything or there would be noair to make the blow-off sound. Which means your car is still going to see less air than it expects (albeitmore than a standard BOV) making the air/fuel mixture off. Not worth the risk to me....

"Your Audi ECU (or modified Audi ECU) will always deliver fuel to suit the flowthrough air to inlet, even though much has been vented to atmosphere for a split second."
I don't know if I buy that, seems to me if that were 100% true then you could just run a straight BOV without an issue, which we all know isnt the case.
Also in regard to those youtube videos, looks like he is running a BT setup (One big turbo, instead of two) meaning that he could have changed enough to allow a BOV to work.
I am in no way the authority on this subject, but I relayed what makes sense in my mind! Anyone wanna back me up or tell me where I'm wrong??

if you want the bloow off sound then get the samco 50/50's i have them and i have not had one problem in 9 months with them and they are an awesome chirp not a complete whoosh as a typical blow of its more liek a chirp from a bird and it is def noticeable when changing gears i love it and wouldnt use anything different..
J pace thanks, I said it about a week ago in a conversation with Buddha on here and he said it should be a signature and so it is. I like it.
if you want a blow off go buy a f***in honda.

David - it's not that I am that serious about the BOV. it is the fact that this point has been argued over countless times before. The admin has asked that this not be talked about and they even made a sticky at the top of the S car page: We are NOT the A4 Fourm, NO MORE BOV threads!!!! I thought it was fairly self explanatory but apparently noobs feel that it dosen't matter what anybody else says. it is just frustrating that is all.
