Default RE: boost controller?

You can run it in paralell to clip boost spikes but you wont get any performance gain from it.

With GIACx you can unplug the N75 valve and run an MBC in standalone which allows you to increase boost to as much as your turbos can sustain. With this you may also need a diode or also called throttle cut defender (TCD) to stop throttle cut. Keep in mind our turbos are allready pretty unrelyable and this is even worst that a stage 1 chip. Id say be prepared to buy K04's if you run a standalone MBC.

Your ECU compensates for the extra air w/ more fuel automatically.

If you want to know more theres a bunch of threads with pictures/diagrams and stuff so just search

thanks for the response. I've done a ton of searching on the subject, im having a hard time finding specifics.
I understand the limitations of the stock k03's. im 30 and drive my cars respectfully, so im not to concerned with overworking the turbo's. I do all my own repairs and if down the road the k03's fail, i'll either rebuild them or get k04's.
im using 3 program giac software now. I purchased it from 10secs4 so im not sure if its a Giacx or not. (or are they all X)
At this point i really would like a DIY tcd link. I have found some info on the diode used but the information has differed in some threads.

Call email or talk to the guys at Vast performance, i think they can set you up with a tcd that you can install yourself, i dont think its expensive. They could also give you some more info. www.vastperformance.com
