my brake pad low light came on today, just wondering what percent is left on them...basically how urgent is this light? i would assume that its got plenty on it and is extra cautious, but just thought i would double check.

About 3mm would be left on the front pads, 2mm past the recommended change point.
Get them changed asap.

 

i had the same light on mine need to get in the da shop!

 

I always find it so funny when people ask if the "dummy" lights go on what do i do. personally i always vag check the cels and get the others checked right away cause that means something is really wrong if the car is seeing it.

 

Depending on how you drive, there is 2-3000mi left on them. But you should have this on your list of things to DO NOW. Don't mess with brakes, if they fail, it will cost a lot more to fix.

 

alright, trying to decided what pads to get...any opinions from everyone??
