I don't think this is really a big issue. Just go with what Chebert recommended. You aren't racing, so *f* the big brake kit.

I'd save your money and instead send your tranny to Stasis to have it rebuilt. Why? Because: (1) you have to have tranny work done; and (2) you will have a rock solid tranny for probably as long as you will have the car. I'd rather have a solid tranny than a big brake kit, and since you need to do the tranny work anyways, go with Stasis rebuild.

i'm going to have to agree with that too. the s4 tranny is known to break and stasis does a wicked rebuild. i had my trans rebuilt from stasis and it's feeling absolutely wonderful. the only thing that was a problem was getting the tranny out, that was one hell of a job. but while you do that, you should think about swapping turbos to ko4 if you wanted. it's what i did. pull the subframe, downpipes, then tranny. and you can reach the turbos from there. but that's up to you.

debatable, i believeSTRONGLY in working for my possessions and do not like my family doing things for me, but i think and if my pretend son (who isn't a douchebag) was passionate about a car and would be willing to take care of it and maintain the vehicle, then i would buy it for him just outta love for the little bugga knowing he's happy and won't take it for granted. generosity is needed if deserved.

it wasnt an ******* comment it was just stating my 2 cents ..and yes mott power, i believe in what you are saying buying them a car is one thing.. ok now buying them something if they need it like a god damn big brake kit?? i wish i could go to my parents and be like well i need brakes and my best option would be a big brake kit for 2000 when reg brakes are 4-500 you know but hell i guess if you need them why shouldnt daddy buy them????it was just my opinion we could go on for years about this subject...
