Buying a used S4...Questions For everyone
Hi everyone,
Im new on here, and am selling my 1998 Dodge Ram for a 2000 Audi S4. Before I pick it up next week, I was just wondering if you give me as much info/reviews on the B5 S4 as you. I already read the sticky forum above, but i want a few more opinions, plus I would like to see what you guys really love about these cars. I know a little, but wanted to see what you all had to say about them. What kind of things are bad about them, or break often? Whats good about them? How long do they last? Turbos reliable? Just give me all the positives and negatives you can think of. Just give it to me like it is. Thanks a ton guys.
PS. Here is a pic of the car i have my down payment on. It has black leather, navigation, triptonic auto, bose, power seats, sunroof, xenon headlights, 6 disc CD changer, and 62,500 miles on it.

Not being a dick but there are probably 20 other topics exactly like this. Do a forum search and you'll come up with at least one of the topics to answer all your questions.
In short, make sure the 60k service was done, engine in bulletproof while the turbos blows (heh literally). Turbos are known to go out between 80k-120k in most cases but really depends on how you drive. Maintenance on audis is expensive. Performance parts cost almost an arm and a leg compared to other cars. Sensor tend to be one of the biggest failures. And the car will last as long as you want it to as long as you maintain it.
