Flex pipe is there to keep the exhaust from cracking and falling out of the car.

yea i get the point of it but i could have sworn the pics iv seen with cutouts pre cat were in place of the flex joint. My question is how on earth do i mount the cutout pre cat if there is that flex piece there?

You want to gut your 'pre-cats' to really see gains. The cut outs go in between the 'pre-cats' and the main cats.

putting the dumps after the main cat is useless. You want to gut the pre cat (piggie pipes) then do the dumps before the main cat so its a straight pipe all the way through. You wont hurt anything. But will def. see better spool up, more sound from the turbos , lower egt's, and more power which is always a plus.

yea i got my pre cat gutted im just wondering where i would actually weld in the cutout the flange at the end of the dp goes into a flex piece which goes to the cat, so where does the cutout go?

ding, ding, ding we have a winner.

you're going to see much better performance gains putting the cutouts before the cats.
