so if you have a warranty, you get the choice of getting the ko4's? or how does that work out?

 

I did not ask. They look different. The old ones seemed made out of solid rubber. These look like cast aluminum or iron or something...

 

My car did this once I had it chipped. I then chipped the transmission with the much talked about GIAC TIP-CHIP. This fixed the shifting or "hunting". I don't think Audi would put K04s into a auto transmission car. Most likely K03s again.

 

I do have the tipchip as well. I think the pb is an air leak somewhere, and the car shifts to make up for the loss of power.

if you have a MY 2000, will they replace the k03 with larger oil feed line, like the newer (2001+) s4?

 

Honestly, I don't know a turbo from a toaster. I'm referring to the two black tubes that come up from the fenders to the top of the engine, by the radiator. The new ones seems much stronger.

The lurching was caused by a rip in some Y-hose. Audi replaced that.
