Chipped S4 times
I was wondering (and yes i searched) what the times for a 2000 s4 chipped would be. They say its a 80hp increase and i would also get a new DV for each. So what would teh 0-60 be (5.5 stock)? 1/4 mile? I am looking at teh GIAC with a flashloader.
Sounds right, might be a bit optimistic. I had the TurboXS Stage 2 which is basically the same thing just a few more HP's. With a very scientific second hand(stopwatch) and a friend I pulled a 4.8 0-60
. I had friends that had both and ran the mid 13's that they claim in the 1/4. The Rex is a dang good car, but runs into issues if you cross the 300WHP. The tranny is a weak spot and almost has to be upgraded if you want 300 or more at the wheels. Also read that some people were having the number 3 cylinder go. This was due to the placement of the Snail being right over that cylinder and generating alot of extra heat there. I was very happy with mine, but wanted a better all around car. I'll be happy to speak to any Questions about the Rex. I have some fond memorys of that car.

APR has thier "Stage II" S4 running a 12.9 quarter. That is chipped, APR bi-pipe, snub mount, RS4 intercoolers, and cat-back exhaust. So mid 13's with just a chip and some intake work are very possible, like Imola said depends on how good a driver you are. I have heard of a chipped (APR) A6 with intake and cat-back running a 13.5 quarter so the lighter S4 should have no problem.
