yeah I have an 01 s4. my clutch went about 2k miles ago. I upgraded to an rs4 clutch. I also had to upgrade my flywheel because it got owned and they werent able to resurface it. i went with a lightweight AWE flywheel.

the rs4 clutch and flywheel from AWE were less $$$ than the dealers price for OEM. so that was nice.

I'd upgrade at least the clutch while you are in there already. The clutch will only cost a few buck more for an upgrade from VAST or anyone else, the flywheel will add on a couple hundred more. Remember though that the labor is most of the job and if you don't do it now it will cost more in the long run.

ya labor kicked my ***. 13.5 hour job is never going to be cheap. If you need a new flywheel, defintely go lightweight.

yep mine is goin too 2 days after being chipped i noticed it slipping a little while in 4th 5th or 6th gear. im probably going to go with the rs4 clutch since its about $200 cheaper than a stage 2.

If any of you guys are in the central PA area, one of my techs at work does all my major work that I can't do without a lift. Clutch replacement $400 plus parts can't beat it and he's damn good.
