Default Considerations when buying a used S8 - looking for advice

I am looking at buying a used S8, most likely a 2001-2003 with 60K-100K miles.

What I'm wondering is what types of common maintenance issues I should be on the lookout for in doing a pre-buy, as well as what it might cost to own one of these. I don't want to buy it for $20K and then put $20K into it the first year.

Any thoughts or experiences would be most appreciated!!!

get a car with service records and read them. make shure everything works and theres no leaks. change the tranny oil and filter eventhough its not recquired. change the timing belt at 90,000 miles same with a major tune. you will love this car. its that german car thing thats inside you that you can't shake.

60,000 mile service is KEY, but pretty much gtos8xxx said most of it. Also look at the current driver for past driving habits
