Hmm i havent heard much about it, but i would like to find out. If it does work, that would be a pretty sweet and cheap upgrade!

sounds fishy...and since i've never heard of anyone in the S4 world using such I would have my doubts...(don't you think folks would be all over it by now if it were so?..it sounds like potentially a very easy mod...)

Here is the link, check it out and tell me what you think. I already called to see how much installation would be, and they said about $100 (2 hours of labor)

If you buy the uinderdrive kit: Crank, Alternator, Power steering? you can see hp gains. The accessory pulleys are smaller thus spinning them faster "underdriving" You need a new belt as well w/ the kit because the newer pulleys are smaller.(I think) I have heard some bad things from this mod particularly if you have a powerful stereo system. You are overspinning the accessories and the alternator can become a problem. Just what I have heard....FYI.

I read on some other cars that going to a solid pulley, instead of one with rubber in it (harmonic balancer), that it can damage the bottom-end. But, I do not know if Audi uses a solid one from the factory or not.

A crank pully will give you the horsepower no doubt about it........But it will also shorten the life of your engine. shelby69 is somewhat right. there has to be sometype of balance to them. If it's not balanced you will ware out the main bearings. And you will also get engine vibrations as well......To sum it up it's not worth the money and hassell to install it. And then to shorten the engine life.
