Yup,
And if you need any help taking your front end off (which you will need to do to get the alt out) LMK. I can do it in 25 min now. LOL

Ok, now thanks to all of you (I LOVE FORUMS! yeah) the solutions are appearing. It definitely does sound like something Global--it's too many weird things happening at the same time.

Please explain to me that why, after I:
1.disconnect/reconnect the battery (to reset the warning lights)
2. start the car up, see that it pushes a normal 14.3V at idle, but the 3 warning lights are still on and the transmission goes right into 4th as soon as Drive is engaged with a clunk, AND it even clunks into Reverse in my driveway? I don't rev it up-- just let the car idle and the problems are still around.

At idle, if the 'faulty' alternator is pushing 14.3V, and a good alternator pushes the same 14.3 V, why the heck would things get better? Granted, I do need to replace it because it pushes WAY to Many Volts at higher RPM.

I hope you are right Red_One.

i would agree with alternator as well. if its bad it will cost you probably 500 bucks including labor. good luck!!!!!

$500! Good lord.
I found a voltage regulator for $49 @ foreignautomotiveparts.com, and am going to replace my faulty one.Gonna start here...
Now, off to search: "how to replace alternator"
