$8,500 is cheap. Its great that the t-belt and clutch have been done, that could save you some money. The service records from the dealer are a plus. If you can call the dealership that has been working on it and ask them about the mechanical condition fo the car. From the sound of your post its stock? If its unmodified, especially if theres no chip, that can save your turbos a little wear but 130k is getting up there and they will probably eventually **** the bed. Its quite expensive to replace them, when they do go, id reccomend replacing them with k04's thay are more relyabel. If you can bring the car to a mechanic you trust and have them look it over thats a very good idea. I have provided you with links to the FAQ and a buy guide ,dont know if you have allready seen them or not. If you havent check it out. The buy guide is very good. Best of luck

probably about $3000+ and its going to cost you just about as much for k03s

And 8.5 is cheap.... my s4 was $24,500 private sale with 53k miles about a year and a half ago

**** I wish I found a deal like that I got mine for a little over 13k with 86000m and shes a one owner car and It had all service done on it, I have had little to no problems because of basic maintainance. If it was taken care of thean maybe you've got a gem on your hands. If not, your goin in the pocket pocket pocket!!

Like what? There are 2 small things on the early cars that can be problematic. The "F" hose & the MAF. The hose can be fixed spending $20 on a Samco one, or buy a TIP there is no F hose. The MAF is just a replacement item, you can pick them up for $150, they do not fail very often. If you go K04's you will swap out the MAF.

If you get a really early S4, it will have aluminum uprights instead of steel, so the front suspension weighs much less, but uses a slightly different control arm setup.
