hi. i was just wondering do exhuast system really make a huge differece>>> i know they give extra horsepower compared to the stock exhuasts... but what about aftermarket exhuasts.

I really like the Borla exhuast its $595..... but why are there exhuasts for $900-$1200

wont they give the same power... i mean exhuast just change the tone.. and the airflow?


By paying more money do you get more power??

 

No, you don't necessarily get more power (maybe a dyno would show a slight difference, but it would be negligible). What you get is materials and construction. Of course each exhaust has its own distinctive note, too. The more expensive exhausts are made with better materials and are constructed with a higher quality and refined methods. In addition, some exhausts capitalize on their popularity and are marketed with a higher profitability.
In the end, it comes down to your personal preference. The look and specific sound are what sell the exhaust for most buyers.

 

damn thats a big price difference. Generally u wouldnt get that much more horsepower with the more expensive one. Just an aftermakert one will you u a little more horsepower. price isnt everything

 

Please note that the system you are referring regards only teh muffler for 595 you need to buy the down pipes(from front to middle) as well which is another 500

 

unfortunately, business is business, whether you're dealing with cars or dairy products and there are just as many people who make cars their business as there are who make them their passion/hobby. furthermore, when you're dealing with cars that exude class and some semblance of exclusivity, you're naturally going to pay more to play.

 

u need to also remeber a company like borla sells alot more exhaust than a company that only sells for german cars. The more poeple know about them and but there stuff the cheaper. U just want to look at for all the cheap and unknown companies mostly.
